A wildly diverse panel of art pros discuss how their work smashes together at the intersection of comics and design. This panel discussion will explore the connection between graphic novels and graphic design.

Description:
Design Week LA now comes fortified with... comics! A panel of outstanding local artists who are inspired by both comic books and graphic design will gather at Meltdown Comics on Friday, October 15th, at 7 p.m. for a discussion on comics and design. Among the participants are noted rock poster illustrator Coop, whose popular "Coop" font is distributed by House Industries. Comics and design historian Michael Dooley will moderate the discussion. This event is organized and sponsored by AIGA/LA.
